THE MAKING PROCESS

Preparation of the DAQ and GPS tracker.

The first thing we have to do is to prepare the data collection device and the GPS tracking unit. The casing needs to be dissembled in order to reduce the weight of the probe.

We use the LabQuest DAQ, which we take apart and reduce its mass to almost one half. The board is then installed into the probe. We do the same with the GPS tracking unit.

Both devices are later installed in special compartments inside the probe. Three sensors are attached to the GPS unit and they transmit data during the flight without delay.
