Live crew
Live organisms - Cryptococcus liquefaciens and Saccharomyces cerevisiae The process of preparing the living organisms is described in the following steps:
- preliminary test of both cultures to provide the final concentration of the cells in 100mL,
- the samples of both cultures are inserted into special plastic containers equipped with a special thermometer,
- containers with living organisms are then attached to the flaps of the probe as well as inserted inside the probe.
According to the preliminary test we can predict approximate changes in living conditions (temperature, air pressure, UVA and UVB radiation) during the flight. The final result of the experiment is the number of the surviving cells of both cultures, separately measured from all containers.
